Turning back the clock has never been an easy job, but that's exactly what the owner of The Sushi Villa have successfully done. They were aware of the daunting task ahead when they bought this landmark property and decided to restore it to it's former glory.
And they went about it with a firm determination that no expense and effort would be spared in doing so. From the authentic colors sprucing up the walls to the hand made tiling individually shaded for every room floors every section of this house is masterpiece on its own and it shows. Of course they had to modernize it with creature comforts as we know today, so changes were made to stay closer to the times. |
A giant swimming pool with a 10 seater Jacuzzi took center stage replacing the older verandah.
The kitchen went from the old kerosene stove style to a modern one that is now. The moment you step inside, you’ll feel the charm of the vaulted ceiling, the quality of the fabrics, the elegance of the design and the loving attention given to every detail. The property is divided in two parts, one houses the main villa another portion with a separate entranceway has been earmarked to be a first of it's kind authentic Goan Artisan market, but that's looking ahead. The main villa is built on ground level to ease access. You step in from the grand parking lot which can accommodate upto 3 vehicles straight onto the swimming pool area.
To your right is a section which houses 2 air con bedrooms with attached bathrooms. To your left is the high ceiling verandah opening into two areas the air con living room and the dining area. That adjoins the 3 air con bedrooms with attached bathroom. An additional powder room is attached to the left of the modern kitchen. In case of electric blackouts (not uncommon in Goa) we have an generator which can handle aircon and lights. Vertical Divider
